Roy Fred Meriweather

Roy Meriweather of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, March 01, 2024 at Enterprise Health and Rehab. He was 86. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 4, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Rev. Ray Layton officiating and Searcy Funeral Home Directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Mr. Meriweather was born in Dale County, AL on March 24, 1937. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved being outside fishing and hunting deer. He also enjoyed the time he spent playing his guitar, singing and being with his family at the family gatherings. He was preceded in death by his son Mark Meriweather. Survivors include his wife of 67 years Inez Meriweather, Enterprise, AL; daughter, Shelia Quattlebaum, Enterprise, AL; brother, Robert Meriweather, Las Vegas, NV; several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Rodney Hawkins, Jaxon Hawkins, Greg Williams, Wayne Williams, Danny Holland, Mark Caldwell.
