Msg (Ret) Roy J. Jordan

Roy Junior Jordan of Enterprise, AL passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Southeast Health in Dothan. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:30AM, Friday, October 28 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Zachery Greenwell, Father Jim Dane and Father Wayne Youngman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. Roy was born on October 30th, 1931 in Ruby, South Carolina to Roy and Annie Jordan. He was the oldest of 5 children. Roy joined the military out of High School and dedicated 25 years to serving in the United States Army with deployments to Korea, Vietnam, Italy and Germany, finally retiring as a Master Sergeant in Enterprise Alabama. After the Army, Roy ran a successful business in Enterprise for over 15 years, he graduated college and then worked for Townsend Building Supply before his final retirement. Master Sergeant Jordan is survived by his wife the former Rita Bindi of Livorno, Italy and his children, Mary Jo Brostron (David), Aiea HI, Barbara Ann Conway, Pensacola, FL, Jerry D. Jordan, Enterprise, AL, and Wayne Youngman, Elberta, AL; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and a sister, Margie Faile, Heath Springs, SC.
