Roy Gene Thomas

Roy Gene Thomas, age 63, of Elba, AL, passed away, Friday, June 5, 2020 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday. June 9, 2020 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Roy Turner officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 8, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Roy’s memory to: Diane Thomas, 4599 County Road 514, Elba, Al 36323. Roy was a brick mason for many years. He enjoyed many hours and days fishing and gardening. His most enjoyable times were spent with his family, whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Louvinia Sasser Thomas, a brother, Travis Thomas and a sister, Jewel Jeffcoat. Survivors include his wife, Diane Mills Thomas, Elba, AL; daughter, Myritza Diane Anoai, Enterprise, AL; two grandsons, Kendall Anoai Flowers and Zell Anoai Flowers, Enterprise, AL; sister, Joyce Padilla; two brothers, Denver Thomas and Gaylon Thomas all of Enterprise, AL; his best friend, Harry Whigham, Opp, AL.
