Sandra Jeffcoat Pugh, age 80, passed away on June 6, 2017 at her home in Enterprise, Alabama. Sandra was born in Opp Alabama, on August 15, 1936, the daughter of Luther and Madell (Fuffa) Jeffcoat.                There will be a service at the First Baptist Church in Enterprise, Alabama on June 8 2017, visitation will be at 2:00 in the fellowship hall, with the service following at 4:00 in the sanctuary. She had a genuine love of reading and learning from a young age, and this would continue throughout her life. Sandra graduated from Opp High School, with honors, in 1954, and then attended Judson College. However, she transferred to the University of Alabama, in 1956, to pursue a degree in Library Science. Sandra graduated from "The University" in 1958 and went to work as the assistant librarian for Samford University.                     On May 24,1958 Sandra married the love her life, Dr. Jack Y. Pugh and they lived in Birmingham, Alabama while Jack attended dental school at UAB. Sandra continued to work at the Samford Library to help put Jack through school. Their son, Jay was born in 1963 in Birmingham. Upon completion of dental school Sandra and Jack moved to Fort Rucker, Alabama where Jack was a dentist on post. In 1965 they moved to Enterprise, Alabama where Jack operated a practice for over 50 years. In 1966 they welcomed a second son, John David, and Sandra devoted herself to Jack and their two boys.                Family and friends were Sandra's passion and delight. She reveled in planning and hosting parties, and putting on family get togethers and vacations. She loved to arrange flowers and got so much pleasure in making sure each detail was just perfect. Sandra was active in her community and belonged to the Chautauqua Women's Club, the Enterprise City Library Board, The Sorority and her beloved Birthday Girls. Sandra also had a competitive spirit; she took great satisfaction in playing tennis through the years and watching the tournaments on TV. Sandra also enjoyed playing bridge with friends and uno with her grandchildren.                Sandra had a heart for the Lord and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise, where she served on the Library Board, and was in Phyllis Talmadge's Sunday school class.                Sandra was pre-deceased in death by her parents, and her nephew Robbie Moulton. She is survived by her husband of 59 years,  Jack; sons, Jay and his wife Kay and their two sons Ryan and Jake, John and his wife Kim and their two daughters Karlyn and Kallee; sisters Brenda Moulton and Julie Harrison and her husband Ronnie; one nephew, TJ Harrison and one niece Beth Campbell; and a number of other relatives and friends.
