Sawyer Hayes Clark of Enterprise, AL passed away peacefully on November 22, 2021 at home surrounded by his adoring family. He led a 10 month, courageous battle against a DIPG brain tumor. He was 6 years old. Sawyer was born on October 23, 2015 at 12:02 a.m. at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL after a very quick trip to the hospital following a high school football game. He lived life as he entered this world, full of energy and joy. Those who knew him will always remember his infectious laugh and his ability to make anyone play like a child. Even as his journey on this side of heaven was ending, he was still touching lives and making people smile. Sawyer was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Stephen Gong. He leaves behind a world of laughter, smiles, and memories for his parents Reid and Emily Clark as well as his loving brothers Walker and Hunter. Other survivors include his grandparents Charles and Trish Clark of Enterprise, AL and Josie Gong of Jackson, MS; his three aunts and uncles Stephanie Quisenberry (Scott) of Enterprise, AL; Melissa Mitchell (Patrick) of Arlington, VA and Stephanie Gong (Joseph Chaudry) of Ridgeland, MS. He is also survived by five adoring first cousins: Clark Quisenberry, Meg Garcia (Rico), Eli Chaudry, Abby Mitchell and Jake Chaudry; and many more great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. The funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Enterprise at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28 with burial to follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise. A visitation will be held at the church before the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. The service will be livestreamed through the FBCE website and Facebook page.
