SGM (Ret.) Hiram Brewer, Jr., age 82, of Brantley, AL, passed away, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Indian Creek Community Church with a time of fellowship afterwards in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warrior Project. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Mary Lee Brewer, a brother, Wayne Seekers and a great-granddaughter, Emily Schrad. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Geraldine Brewer, Brantley, AL; three daughters, Tracy Smith (Randy) Brantley, AL; Jennifer Jernigan (James) McKenzie, AL; Carrie Schrad, Luverne, AL; a son, Hiram O’Neal (“Buddy O”) Brewer (Stephanie) Brantley, AL; 4 grandchildren, Kayla Robbins (Christopher) Andalusia, AL; Kimberly Simmons (Terry) Andalusia, AL; Leslie Crawson, Luverne, AL; Josh Brewer, Brantley, AL; numerous great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Judy Stabler, Greenville, AL; Connie Nicholas (Randall) Greenville, AL; a brother, Jerome Brewer (Melonie) Greenville, AL; several nieces and nephews.
