Shelva Jean Shubert (Vick) passed away, Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the home of her daughter in Elba, Alabama. Ms. Shubert was born in Fayette, Alabama, on January 12, 1938. She is preceded in death by her mother Castle Ruth Ertle, stepfather Maurice Ertle, father Leonard Vick, husband Charles Michael Shubert, two sisters Sarah Faye Jones and Shirley Smith, brother Hershel Lewis, a son Ira Wayne Peters, a daughter Regina Faye Miller, and stepson Jonathan Shubert. She is survived by her four daughters, Nancy Elizabeth Suyak, Elba, AL; Gerttie Smith (Jeff), Hohenwald, TN; Vanessa Peters, Hohenwald, TN; Frances Norris (Guy), Lawrenceburg, TN; stepdaughter, Michelle Franks (Kenny), Jasper, AL; three sons, David Castro (Tammy), Fort Stewart, GA; Williard Adrian Peters (Teresa), Lexington, TN; Charles Tarvin (Darlene), Aikens, SC; four sisters, Sadie Shults (Ralph), Coker, AL; Teresa K. Hall, Coaling, AL; Cindy McCarter, Cottondale, FL; Sue Hannah, Northside, AL; brother, Reggie Cook, Sr. (Ashley), Duncanville, AL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
