Shirley Jean Hitt of Enterprise, AL went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Enterprise. She is leaving behind children who love her very much. She was 79. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Lester Rachel officiating.. Burial to follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Mrs. Hitt was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lee Hitt and a sister, Hilda Dean Wood.   Survivors include her children, Gregory D. Hitt (Pamela), Enterprise, AL, Vicki Denton, Enterprise, AL, Sandy Smith (David) Seguin, TX, Michael Hitt, Level Plains, AL, Kimberley Hitt, Austin, TX, Lance B. Hitt (Melissa), Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Jessica Hitt, Chad Roberts (Tiffany), Garrett Hitt (Jamee), Zachary Newton, Dawson Smith, Shelby Smith, Ethan Hitt, Lane Hitt; a great-grandson, Preston Bridgman; sister, Mary Frances Messer.
