Sue Hatcher Redd of Enterprise, Alabama passed away peacefully at home with her family on Thursday October 7th. She was 81 years old. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Christ Community Church of God in Enterprise, Alabama, with Rev. Johnny Bryant and Rev. Joey Turman officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30am until service time. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery where Sue will rest next to her beloved husband Rev. Billy James Redd, Sr. and their precious daughter Suzanne Lee Redd, with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family requests to follow COVID protocol. Sue, a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother (Mimi) was born in Enterprise, AL on August 31, 1940, to the late Frank Hatcher and Foye Virginia Hatcher. Sue was married 59 wonderful years to Rev. Billy James Redd, Sr. who is waiting to meet her at the gates of heaven. Sue loved God and her family, she loved to read the Bible and share God’s Word. She attended school in Enterprise, Alabama, and attended Enterprise State Junior College. Sue loved to cook for her friends and family. She also loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Sue will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy James Redd, Sr and their daughter Suzanne Lee Redd. Survivors include (2) sisters both of Enterprise, AL, Jan Fitch (husband Jim deceased) and Ann Estabrook (Phil); (1) son Billy James Redd Jr. (Carrie) of Panama City Beach, FL; (2) daughters, Lisa Elizabeth Smades (Neil) Humble, TX, Amy Redd Tucker of Enterprise, AL; (8) grandchildren Ashley LeAnne Smades, Humble TX; Dallas Dwain Smades, Humble, TX; Stephen Keaton Redd, Panama City Beach, FL; Dawson James Redd, Panama City Beach, FL; Shelby Lynn Murr (Ryan), Black, AL; Abbigayle Reece Nash, Enterprise, AL; Allison Redd Nash, Panama City Beach, FL; USCG Chief Will L. Lee (Julia), Ocean City, MD; (5) great grandchildren Gunner Dwain Perkins, Humble, TX; Brynlee Alaina and Treyson James Murr, Black, AL; Ava Reece Doster and Khyson Armani, Enterprise, AL; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a loving church family.
