Tyris Pete Thomas, age 84, of Clayhatchee, AL passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Thomas; two sisters, Lucy Moore and Betty Sasnett; and brother, Tally Thomas. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty Thomas, Clayhatchee, AL; two sons, Christopher Thomas (Monika), Enterprise, AL; Tony Thomas (LeAnn), Enterprise, AL; eleven grandchildren, Michelle, Jonathan, Matthew, Lauren, Blake, Caden, Kyleigh, Stephanie, Sierra, Savannah and Kristen; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Det Hussey and Peggy Kyser; brother, Royce “Mutt” Thomas.
