Vicki Armstrong Hunter

Vicki Armstrong Hunter of Daleville, AL passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Flowers Hospital. She was 59.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 6, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time.

Vicki was a beautiful, loving, quirky woman who could find the humor in just about anything. Vicki loved reading, dramatic crime shows, gardening, and ancestry research. Vicki was often seen laughing or making jokes. Vicki was married to Robert Hunter, a Navy veteran. Vicki loved traveling the world with Robert during his different duty stations. A proud mother to four beautiful girls, and a Mae Mae to four grandbabies and grand dogs. Those grandbabies were the highlight of her life. 

Vicki was preceded in death by her fathers Willie Earl Branton and Edward Leon Armstrong, mother Betty Joyce Hinson Branton, two daughters Goldie Chrissa Armstrong and Stephanie Leigh Armstrong and a niece Paige Perkins.

Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Robert Hunter, Daleville, AL; two daughters, Samantha Strickland (Curtis), Daleville, AL; Toni Knox (Josh), Slocomb, AL; mother-in-law, Janice Patterson Armstrong, Guyton, GA; four sisters, Glenda Marie Retherford, Marianna, FL; Jacqueline Comille Hudson, Cottonwood, AL; Paula Gay Johnson (Ledon), Daleville, AL; April Oakes (David), Monroe, GA; two brothers, Steven Earl Branton, Daleville, AL; James Armstrong (Sara), Litchfield, ME; four grandchildren, Carson Edward Paxton, Daleville, AL; Rydleigh Lynn Hunter, Daleville, AL; Amber Maria Strickland, Madison, AL; Jocelyn Rose Strickland, Madison, AL; nieces and nephews, Kyle Johnson, Chevis Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Kelly Hudson, Orrin Retherford, Amy Yeomans, Stephanie White, Christian Armstrong, Alexandra Armstrong, Gage Armstrong, Gavin Armstrong, Julie Oakes, Dixie Oakes, Kynlee Richardson, River Johnson, Kaydence Johnson, and Asa Baxter.
