Walter Ray Jones

Walter Ray Jones, age 81, of Chancellor, AL, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Enterprise. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Joel Snell and Rev. Howard Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holloway Tabernacle Assembly of God Youth Dept., 1127 County Road 639, Coffee Springs, AL 36318. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Jones, four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jacqueline Jones, Chancellor, AL; a daughter, Kathy Davis (Charles), Chancellor, AL; two sons, Tommy Jones (Linda), Chancellor, AL; Greg Jones (Deena) Coffee Springs, AL; three grandchildren, Michael Jones; Morgan Jones; Bryant Davis; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Lela Smart, Jack, AL; a brother, Jerry Jones (Margie) Williston, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.The family of Mr. Jones wishes to thank the staff of Enterprise Health and Rehab and Southern Care Hospice for their loving care during Mr. Jones illness.
