Wanda Hancock of Ozark, AL passed away Wednesday, August 09, 2017 at her home. She was born in Council Bluffs, IA on June 2, 1952. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark, AL. Visitation will begin at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday and continue until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Enterprise Lions Club Foundation, to be used for Wounded Veterans, PO Box 310598, Enterprise, AL 36331. She had fun times going racing every week and the best time was when she and Pete moved to Ozark and started meeting their church family and made a lot of friends in the area and at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Wanda was co-owner of Pete Hancock Racing, a member of the Lion’s Club for over 25 years and also raised four dogs for guide dogs over the years. Surviving Wanda is her husband of 27 years, Pete Hancock. She was the youngest of eight brothers and one sister, which all preceded her in death.
