Wayne Smith

Wayne Smith, age 84, of Chancellor, AL, passed away, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 23, 2021 at El Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Hart and Rev. Dave Hingson officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Joyce Smith. He was a graduate of the Enterprise High School Class of 1954. He served in the US Navy for 3 years during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. Survivors include his daughters, Leann Chancellor (Mike) Chancellor, AL; Nicole Hart (David) Saraland, AL; a son, Michael Smith (Hope) Chancellor, AL; seven grandchildren, Justin Chancellor (Samantha), Leborah Cole Lee (Clayton), Sarah Smith, Kristin Chancellor, Megan Hart, Mandi Hart, Cody Hart; three great-grandchildren, Lucas Chancellor, Hylia Chancellor, William Michael Lee.
