William Edward Hilyer (Bubba), age 61, of New Brockton, AL passed away, Friday, September 24, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 28, 2021 Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Nathan Sims officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until service time. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. William was preceded in death by his parents, William Kinsey Hilyer and Virginia Pearl Hilyer; brother, William Lawrence Hilyer; and sister, Gloria Denny. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Hilyer, New Brockton, AL; four daughters, Pamela Hilyer, New Brockton, AL; Kelley Benway (Shawn) New Brockton, AL; Jennifer Hadwin (Ryan) Chancellor, AL; Jessica Rogers (Jonathan) Elba, AL; sister, Brenda Kay Griffin, New Brockton, AL; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brother and sister in law.
