Wilson Cochran Wooley passed away peacefully in his sleep and is now in the Glory of the Lord. He was 91 years young. Funeral Services will be held at Searcy Funeral Home, Sunday Jan 16th at 2pm. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home at 1pm. He was a graduate of Luverne High School, Auburn University, The National War College, George Washington University and Troy State University. He served proudly in the United States Army reaching the rank of Colonel along with a 24-year distinguished career. He was a dutiful member of First Baptist Church Enterprise. He put his faith in God, his Family, and his Country first. His interests included his men’s Bible study; Auburn Football; his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and caring for his several acre lawn. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Karen Mullins Wooley, his parents Ross and Margaret Wooley, his brothers Ross Wooley and Richard Wooley, his sister Margaret Wooley Smyth. He is survived by his children, Sharon Wooley Lowers (Ben); Kathleen Wooley Wood (Paul); Warren Wooley (Shannon). This includes his ten grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua, Lauren, Melanie, Matthew (Lowers); Andrew and Stewart (Wood); Addison, Emma Katherine, Georgia (Wooley). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the First Baptist Church of Enterprise Building Fund.
