Yeon Shik Ji

Yeon Shik Ji passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He was 83. No services are scheduled at this time. Yeon was preceded in death by his sister Jung Ja Sigg. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sun Sam Ji, Daleville, AL; son, Nam Shik Ji (Sabom), New Jersey; two daughters, Kyong White (Craig), Birmingham, AL; Kyong Carrion (Camilo), Florida; four grandchildren; brother, Yeon Kae Ji, Daleville, AL. Yeon was beloved by his family, who took great pride in the hard work and sacrifices he made in life to secure their collective future. During his life Yeon was a Soldier, steel worker, friend, brother, mentor, and most importantly a father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and anyone who met or worked with him. Yeon Shik Ji was a man who was courageous enough to create a new destiny for himself and his family. His memory will survive as an example to his son, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren yet to be born.
